In a show of commitment to party unity and community development, Amb. Dr. Otunba Moshood Ismail Abioye (Dr. Mosh) has renewed the damaged signpost of the Akinyele PDP Secretariat, restoring it to a dignified state after it was vandalized.
Speaking on the incident, Dr. Mosh emphasized that it is unnecessary and counterproductive to destroy party properties simply because of differences in ideas or personal interests. He noted that the signpost was first partially torn — particularly on the section representing the office of the Executive Chairman — before it was completely destroyed.
“This party property wasn’t erected by the council or chairman, but by a loyal party member like every one of us,” Dr. Mosh said. “We must learn to accept fate, stand in unity, and support whoever is at the helms of affairs with ideas, prayers, and constructive criticism that will shape our party into the only viable option for electoral victories and community development.”
He reiterated his commitment to good causes, progress, and the collective development of the people, pledging openness to collaborations and partnerships that would further the advancement of Akinyele and the PDP family.
Dr. Mosh also urged all party members to embrace peace, understanding, and tolerance, describing internal differences as a “dialectical nature” that must be managed for the greater good.
He called on members to mobilize new supporters, particularly those yet to register or collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), to ensure that PDP remains victorious in 2027 both in Oyo State and national level.
“It’s not just about belonging to a party, but belonging to a victorious one,” he concluded. “Together, in unity and purpose, we can make PDP stronger, better, and more impactful for our people.”
