OJOO YOUTH ORGANISATION MARKS 25TH ANNIVERSARY WITH UNITY-INSPIRED NOVELTY FOOTBALL MATCH:“Development must override party politics.” Amb. Dr. Moshood Ajadi

Ojoo, Ibadan . The 25th anniversary of the Ojoo Youth Organisation was more than a celebration, it was a bold declaration of unity, youth empowerment, and community-focused leadership. The historic event began with a thrilling novelty football tournament at the Odogbo Barracks Field, featuring standout teams such as Moshood Ajadi Foundation FC, R. Abiodun Electronics FC, Mogaji FC, and The King FC.

After highly spirited and entertaining matches, R. Abiodun Electronics FC emerged as the first runner-up, while Moshood Ajadi Foundation FC, led by none other than its founder, Amb. Dr. Moshood Ismail Abioye Ajadi, clinched the second spot. But beyond the scoreboard, the true victory was in the message of unity and purpose championed by Amb. Dr. Ajadi.

A man deeply committed to grassroots transformation, Amb. Dr. Moshood Ajadi, community leader, philanthropist, and founder of the Moshood Ajadi Foundation, did not just sit in the crowd, he wore his boots and led his team on the pitch, symbolizing his belief that leadership is participation, not position.

“This is more than football. It is a demonstration of what our politics should be, driven by peace, unity, and people-centered development,” Otunba Abioye stated.

“Let today mark a new direction in our politics, away from the bitterness that divides us and toward the unity that can build us. Party lines must not override the urgent needs of our people. I urge current officeholders: focus on the people.

He was joined by prominent personalities such as:

In his keynote remarks after the match, Amb. Dr. Moshood Ajadi stated:

“This 25th anniversary is not just a celebration of time, but of impact. Ojoo Youth Organisation is a model of what youth-led initiatives should represent: unity, peace, development, and community service. Today’s football match represents what we must strive for in our politics  collaboration over conflict be it inter or intra, development over division, calling on all stake holders to piorities this.”

He passionately appealed to all political stakeholders across Oyo State and Nigeria to embrace the politics of peace and development, noting that the era of party bitterness and personality-based politics must give way to community-first leadership.

“I call on all politicians and public office holders: let us stop prioritizing party over the people. We are losing time, and our people are paying the price. Community development must come first.”

Amb. Dr. Moshood Ajadi further used the platform to renew his personal commitment to the transformation of Akinyele, calling on residents, old friends, and neighbours to join his developmental efforts:

“Let it be known, Mosh has come to stay. I am not in politics to warm a seat. I am here to build, to serve, and to uplift. Whether you are PDP, APC, or apolitical, if your hands are clean and your heart is for the people, I am ready to work with you. Let’s join hands to build Akinyele, Oyo State, Nigeria, and our world.”

He also cautioned against aligning with illegal or violent groups, urging youth and community leaders to focus on peace, harmony, and purposeful collaborations.

“Only in an atmosphere of peace and unity can development happen. Let us not fight ourselves. Let’s replace hate with harmony, enviness with healthy rivalry, and bitterness with brotherhood and tigetherness. Our children are watching, and the future is ours to build.”

The event drew a massive crowd of community members, youth groups, and admirers of Dr. Moshood Ajadi’s unwavering passion for service. His words struck a chord and reignited conversations about genuine leadership, youth capacity building, and the urgency of unity across party lines.
