The Iroko Division of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) received a boost of morale and encouragement as the Grand Patron, Amb. Dr. Moshood Ismail Abioye, paid a courtesy visit to the local command over the weekend.
During his visit, Amb. Dr. Moshood Ismail, a prominent community development advocate and security collaborator, commended the bravery and dedication of the hunters in securing forests, communities, and the lives of rural dwellers across the division.
In his heartfelt address, he urged members not to feel alone or forgotten in their selfless service to the nation.
“Your efforts are not hidden; they are deeply felt, sincerely appreciated, and I assure you, by the grace of God, they will surely be rewarded by both society and government. Do not relent in your noble duty,” he remarked.
He further promised to continue using his influence to draw the attention of government and stakeholders to the grassroots security infrastructure which the Hunters Service represents, adding that the protection of forests and rural communities is key to national peace and agricultural prosperity.
Also speaking at the event was the Division Commandant, Commandant Olabisi Adebayo, who reiterated the importance of formal membership registration.
“It is very essential that every member is duly registered. This is the only way to be fully recognized by the national body and to benefit from any governmental or institutional support available to our service,” the Commandant emphasized.
The visit ended with group interactions, strategic security discussions, and a reaffirmation of commitment to the NHFSS mandate. Members expressed gratitude for the Grand Patron’s unwavering support and called for more collaborations with community stakeholders.
