Otunba Abioye Celebrates President Otitololaye at the 26th Annual Ori Apẹ̀rẹ̀ Festival

Otunba Abioye has warmly felicitated with President Otitololaye Progressive Club, Babaawo Awosanmi Abe, on the occasion of the 26th Annual Ori Apẹ̀rẹ̀ Festival, themed “Orí Mi Máa Kòre.”

The spiritually uplifting and culturally rich event, held in Olúwo Farúkúbọn Land, Soka and its environs, gathered traditional leaders, devotees of Ifá/Òrìṣà heritage, scholars, and community stakeholders in celebration of Yoruba tradition and unity.

The festival featured distinguished scholar Dr Adégbòdù Z. Olúmìdé of the Department of Yorùbá Studies, FCE (Sp), Oyo State, as the Guest Speaker, delivering deep insights into Yoruba spirituality and the power of Orí.

Adding colour, rhythm, and prestige to the celebration was renowned Fuji maestro, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, whose musical performance electrified the atmosphere and further elevated the cultural significance of the occasion.

In his goodwill message, Otunba Abioye stated:

“God is love and love is God. This eternal truth has once again been reaffirmed in this sacred season where Muslims and Christians are observing their fasts alongside our vibrant cultural calendar. Just last week was Òsè Ṣàngó, and tomorrow marks Òsè Méjì in Ibadan. These moments remind us that faith, culture, and humanity must coexist in harmony and mutual respect.”

He further prayed:

“May Elédùmarè continue to support you, Oluwo, alongside your family and the entire Ọmọ Awo. Àṣẹ mi ni Àṣẹ Ẹdùmarè.”

Otunba Abioye commended President Otitololaye for his steadfast commitment to preserving Ifá/Òrìṣà heritage, strengthening communal unity, and fostering peaceful coexistence among all religious and cultural groups.

The 26th Annual Ori Apẹ̀rẹ̀ Festival stands once again as a shining testament to Yoruba heritage, unity, and the enduring power of love.

Àṣẹ.
