PAINFUL EXIT: Renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Alhaji Muyideen Ajani Bello Passes On

The Muslim community in Nigeria is mourning the loss of a prominent Islamic scholar and preacher, Sheikh Alhaji Muyideen Ajani Bello, who passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. The news of his demise was confirmed by his son, Alh Basit Olanrewaju Katibi Bello, popularly known as Aponle Anobi, in a post on his social media handle.
“My father was a great man of God, dedicated to spreading the message of Islam across the world,” said Alh Basit Olanrewaju Katibi Bello. “His passing is a great loss, not only to our family but to the entire Muslim community in Nigeria and beyond.”
Sheikh Muyideen was born in 1940 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He began his Islamic education at a young age and went on to study Arabic and Islamic knowledge at Mahdul Arabiy, Elekuro, from 1963 to 1967. He later taught at various secondary schools in Oyo, Ogun, and Kano States and was appointed Missioner of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
Throughout his career, Sheikh Muyideen was known for his dedication to spreading the message of Islam and his commitment to education. He was a highly respected figure in the Muslim community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In a finding made by G-Report, the Octogenarian who lived in Kano will be buried at a later time that will be made public after due consultation and confirmation by the family.
