As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) holds its Local Government Congress across the 33 Local Governments of Oyo State today, the Founder Moshood Ajadi Foundation Amb. Dr. Moshood Ismail Abioye wishes to call on all party members, stakeholders, and supporters to embrace peace, unity, and decorum throughout the exercise.
Otunba Abioye particularly commend the Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government PDP family, which has consistently demonstrated maturity, strategy, and a spirit of harmony in resolving internal differences without resorting to violence. This exemplary record of peaceful settlement should serve as a model for other local governments across the state.
The Foundation, as a non-governmental organization committed to fostering good governance, political maturity, and community development, urges all members to understand that the real victory is not in conflict but in the unity that follows the Congress. What matters most is the strength of the party after the Congress united, unshaken, and prepared for future electoral triumphs.
We caution against any act of provocation, violence, or misconduct, as such actions only weaken the collective efforts of the party. Instead, let us promote peaceful coordination, strategic patience, and brotherhood in line with the PDP’s values and the democratic spirit of Oyo State.
The Moshood Ajadi Foundation once again reiterates that after the Congress, what counts is the victory of the party at the polls not the rancor of the moment. We therefore appeal to everyone to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and focused on the greater goal of building a stronger PDP for the good of all.
