The Iroko Youth Development Forum (IYDF) wishes to call on our elected Ward Councillor, political office holders, government appointees, community leaders, and all stakeholders to remain committed to their responsibilities and continue to work for the progress and development of Iroko Town.
As representatives and beneficiaries of the trust reposed in them by the people, public office holders must remain accessible, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the community. The challenges facing our communities require collective efforts, sincere leadership, and active engagement with the people, especially the youth who constitute a significant part of our population.
The Forum also looks forward to the participation and support of our Ward Councillor and other government appointees at the forthcoming Youth Meeting, which is aimed at discussing developmental issues, youth empowerment, security, education, and community advancement. Their presence and contributions will further strengthen the partnership between the government and the people, it is disheartening to the kind of representatives we bless with, no feasible impact, we hope our call will be a means to change, as they look forward to our invitations .
Furthermore, the Iroko Youth Development Forum strongly cautions against the spread of unverified information, rumours, and misleading reports capable of creating unnecessary tension, division, or disastrous consequences within our community. We urge residents to verify information through credible sources before sharing and to prioritize peace, unity, and responsible communication.
Development can only thrive in an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, and mutual respect. We therefore encourage all sons and daughters of Iroko, both at home and in the diaspora, to support initiatives that promote peace, development, and the welfare of our people.
Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Iroko for present and future generations.
Signed: Iroko Youth Development Forum (IYDF)
For Peace, Progress, and Community Development.
