Ambassador Dr. Otunba Moshood Ismail Abioye has warmly welcomed all PDP Delegates arriving in Ibadan, Oyo State, for the 2025 Party Convention holding at the iconic Lekan Salami Adamasingba Stadium.
In his goodwill message, Dr. Abioye expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for his tireless commitment to strengthening democratic structures, improving infrastructure, and creating a peaceful environment that makes Ibadan the ideal host city for this national gathering.
He applauded Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership, describing him as “a dependable pillar of progress whose approach to governance continues to inspire confidence, unity, and hope across the PDP family.”
Dr. Abioye assured the Governor of his unwavering confidence and support, noting that the Governor’s achievements in security, education, sports development, and economic reforms have placed Oyo State in a position of national admiration.
“Your Excellency’s dedication to inclusive governance and your consistent support for party cohesion remain commendable. I pray that God continues to grant you wisdom, strength, and resounding success in your leadership journey,” he said.
He prayed for a peaceful and successful convention, fruitful deliberations, and divine guidance for all leaders and delegates present.
Dr. Abioye also extended warm hospitality to all visitors, emphasizing that Ibadan remains a proud home of culture, political enlightenment, and progressive engagement.
“As we gather at Adamasingba Stadium, may our resolutions bring renewed unity, stronger purpose, and greater progress for the Peoples Democratic Party and Nigeria at large,” he concluded.
