Amb. Dr. Moshood Ismail Abioye Applauds Akinyele LG Boss and Chief of staff as 2026 Ramadan Football Competition Draws Commence

Ambassador Dr. Moshood Ismail Abioye was among notable stakeholders who graced the official draw ceremony of the 2026 Ramadan Football Competition, a grassroots sports initiative proudly sponsored by the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye (Fogbontolu Akinyele).

The event, held in a lively and engaging atmosphere, was coordinated under the leadership of the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, who also doubles as the CEO of Yemi Oole Sports Marketing, reflecting strong administrative synergy and commitment to youth development through sports.

Speaking at the ceremony, Amb. Dr. Moshood Ismail Abioye expressed deep appreciation for the invitation and the continuity of the competition, noting its growing impact on the community.

“This invitation is highly appreciated. I can say it clearly that the Chief of Staff is good at what he does. I was part of this competition last year, and this year, I am grateful to God to be part of it again. By the grace of God, more will still be done in subsequent years, and I will continue to be part of it, In Sha Allah.”

He went further to commend the efforts of the organizers and the visionary leadership of the Executive Chairman.

“This is a great point to prove that we are blessed to have the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government. What is left to be fully touched in this administration is sports, and this competition shows that the foundation is already being laid. I sincerely hope other sporting sectors will also be considered.”

Dr. Abioye also highlighted remarks from the organizing coach, who assured attendees that top talents are being identified, describing the tournament as a healthy and competitive platform capable of producing the best players.

“When you hear that great players are emerging from this competition, it means the system is working. This is the kind of competition that brings out excellence, discipline, and unity among our youths.”

In a further show of commitment to youth empowerment, Dr. Abioye announced that Moshood Ajadi Foundation would support and celebrate outstanding performers at the end of the tournament.

“By the grace of God, Moshood Ajadi Foundation will join in celebrating those who come out in flying colors. Supporting our youths through sports is a service to the future of our community, and using this opportunity to call on all both residents, visitors to troop out to celebrate and support our stars”
