Ambassador Dr. Moshood Ismail Abioye has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and the entire Muslim Ummah on the celebration of this year’s Eid.
In a statement released to the press, Amb. Dr. Otunba Abioye prayed that the blessings and mercy associated with the sacred season will bring peace, unity, and greater development to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He commended the leadership of Governor Makinde for promoting peaceful coexistence, religious tolerance, and people-oriented governance in the state, noting that such leadership is necessary at a time when citizens expect more commitment to development and stability.
Amb. Dr. Abioye also called on Muslims to continue to uphold the values of discipline, patience, sacrifice, and compassion which are strongly associated with the holy season.
He further urged residents of Oyo State to use the festive period as an opportunity to promote unity, mutual respect, and collective progress.
He concluded by wishing Governor Makinde, the Muslim community, and all residents of Oyo State a peaceful and joyful Eid celebration.
