The Founder of Moshood Ajadi Foundation and political strategist, Amb. Dr. Otunba Moshood Ismail Abioye, has directed members of the Mosh Vanguard across Wards 1 to 12 in Akinyele Local Government and Wards 1 to 14 in Lagelu Local Government to commence intensified grassroots mobilisation for the victory of all candidates of the All Progressives Movement (APM) in the forthcoming elections.
Chief Abioye, while giving the directive, charged members of the Vanguard to work in unity with the Bimbo Adekanbi Progressive Movement and other progressive political groups and stakeholders, describing collective mobilisation as critical to securing victory at the polls.
He said the Mosh Vanguard must deploy its grassroots structures across the two local governments and influences across oyo state to engage the electorate, communicate the party’s message and build a formidable political coalition ahead of the elections.
According to him, the Vanguard’s mobilisation efforts would focus particularly on supporting Bimbo Adekanbi for the Oyo State governorship race and all other Apm candidates, stressing the need for continuity in the state’s development trajectory.
Otunba Abioye said: “The Mosh Vanguard from Ward 1 to Ward 12 in Akinyele and Ward 1 to Ward 14 in Lagelu must key into this mission. We will collaborate majorly with the Bimbo Adekanbi Progressive Movement to achieve this victory, while also working with other groups and political structures that share our vision.”
He urged other Vanguard groups across Oyo State to put aside individual differences and work harmoniously towards a common objective.
“This is not a time for division. It is a time for all progressive forces to come together, work collectively and deliver Adekanbi as the next Governor of Oyo State for continuity, development and growth,” he added.
The foundation’s founder also disclosed that the Mosh Vanguard would extend its mobilisation efforts beyond Oyo State, working with relevant groups, organisations and political bodies across Nigeria towards the emergence of Engr. Seyi Makinde as the next President of Nigeria.
‘Era of sweet-talking electorate with empty promises is over’
Speaking on the evolving political consciousness of Nigerians, Abioye said the electorate had become more discerning and would increasingly demand evidence of performance rather than campaign promises.
He declared that politicians could no longer rely on attractive rhetoric and unfulfilled promises to win the confidence of voters.
“The era of sweet-talking the electorate with unfulfilled promises is over. Nigeria is now wiser, and the people know the difference between promises and performance. It is clearly written through the great work done by Engr. Seyi Makinde,” he said.
Abioye argued that political leadership should be assessed by tangible achievements, accountability and the capacity to deliver meaningful development to the people.
He therefore called on members of the Mosh Vanguard and other progressive movements across the state to engage the electorate peacefully and constructively, while taking the message of continuity, development and good governance to the grassroots.
He stressed that the objective of the mobilisation was not merely electoral victory but the establishment of a political framework capable of sustaining development and creating greater opportunities for the people.
The Moshood Ajadi Foundation founder further urged all aligned political groups and stakeholders to see themselves as partners in a common project, saying that unity, disciplined grassroots mobilisation and collective action would be decisive in determining the outcome of the forthcoming elections.
He maintained that the Mosh Vanguard remained committed to working with like-minded groups across Oyo State and Nigeria to advance what he described as a new political direction anchored on performance, continuity and measurable development.
