The APM Oyo State Aspirants Forum has commended the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the nation’s security agencies for the successful rescue of the abducted victims in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In a statement issued by the PRO of the Forum, Hon Okeowo the Forum described the rescue as a reassuring demonstration that coordinated leadership, effective intelligence, and the commitment of security personnel can produce meaningful results in the fight against insecurity.
According to the President Hon Dr Amuda:
“The APM Oyo State Aspirants Forum joins the good people of Oyo State in thanking Almighty God for the safe release of the Orire abductees. We sincerely commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our leader Governor Seyi Makinde, and our courageous security agencies for their unwavering commitment and coordinated efforts that made this successful operation possible.”
He recalled that during the Forum’s recent appreciation and thank-you tour to Ogbomoso, the APM governorship flagbearer and the Forum’s preferred candidate for the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, Adekanbi Bimbo, offered prayers for the safe return of the abducted victims.
“We are grateful to Almighty God that those prayers have been answered. This strengthens our faith and reinforces our hope that Oyo State will continue to experience greater peace, security, and development under Adekanbi Bimbo as the Governor of Oyo state 2027.”
The Forum further expressed confidence in the leadership qualities of Adekanbi Bimbo, describing him as a visionary leader with the capacity, compassion, and commitment required to lead Oyo State to greater heights.
“Our confidence in Adekanbi Bimbo remains unwavering. We believe he possesses the vision, competence, and people-oriented leadership needed to consolidate on the developmental strides of Oyo State while introducing innovative policies that will improve security, create employment opportunities, promote economic growth, and deliver inclusive governance. We are convinced that he is well prepared for the enormous responsibility of leading Oyo State in 2027.”
While celebrating the successful rescue, the Forum commend our forces for the strategic engagement and initiatives that led to safe rescue, as well urged both the Federal and Oyo State Governments to intensify proactive security measures through improved intelligence gathering, enhanced surveillance, adequate funding of security institutions, and stronger collaboration with local communities to prevent future occurrences.
The Forum also called for comprehensive support for the rescued victims and their families, including medical care, counselling, rehabilitation, and other relief interventions to aid their recovery.
The APM Oyo State Aspirants Forum reaffirmed its commitment to promoting responsible leadership, good governance, peace, and sustainable development across Oyo State and Nigeria, while encouraging citizens to continue supporting security agencies with credible information in the collective fight against insecurity.
